Have the daily usage of computers by children more negative effects than positives? Spoiler: NO

Recently, yesterday or the day before, I wrote (in Spanish) a critique to the behaviour of older generations to the youth, and you can consider this as a continuation or an independent post, in which I talk about the idea of the daily usage of computers have more negative effects than positive.

Computers are the most revolutionary and important invent of 20th Century, the firsts instances are developed during the second World War, for the decryption of the Enigma machine, and become a vital part of daily life, no matter if is a child or an adult, and it’s regardless private our children of the opportunity to get proficiency with this tool.

It’s true that vision problems, for example vision problems can be caused by long computer sessions with time, but this isn’t fault of the computer or the child, the fault of these problems are caused for the lack of parental control.

In the referent about the bad behaviour of children who spent many hours on computers, that is a recurrent phrase for critique the access of the children to computers, it’s mainly caused by negligence of the fathers, who take off the computer of the children as a punishment instead a give computer time as a reward.

In some schools the computer science become a mandatory subject from be an optional, because the government a direction of the educational centres noticed that the usage of computers and the Information Technologies will be fundamental in the future degree and career of their students.

To summarise, I disagree with the affirmation of the use a computer every day can have more negative effects than positive, but I think a computer usage Schedule is mandatory to avoid future problems.
